Grade 4

Mrs. Talkington and Ms. Kopf

Hello, my name is Mrs. Donna Talkington.  This is my 6th year teaching and 2nd year at St. James.  This year I am teaching 4th grade in the afternoons: math, science & art; along with resource in the mornings.  I love getting to know the children and discovering with them.

I am married with five kids.  My oldest is in his second year at UNL, and I have two high school seniors, one freshman, and one seventh grader.  They keep me fairly busy with sports and activities.  I enjoy spending time in nature with my family and playing games.  Our favorite games are Ticket to Ride and Five Crowns, but we enjoy lots of other games as well.

I am excited you have chosen St. James for your child’s learning guidance.  Our amazing faculty is ready to build your child’s learning with our Lord.  Our Catholic Liberal Education uses exciting techniques that foster love, wonder, and wisdom.

My name is Kendall Kopf, and I am the fourth grade Language Arts, Religion, and History teacher at St. James School.

I am from Fairhope, Alabama, and graduated from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, where I studied Elementary Education. This is my first year teaching and I’m so excited to be with your child at this amazing school!

One of my favorite saints is St. Teresa of Calcutta, and I enjoy reading, taking long walks, bike riding, and baking.
