Student Life

One of the many extracurricular activities is Archery. It is taught in physical education (National Archery in the Schools Program) class for those students in 4th through 6th grade. Starting in January, students in those grades are invited to participate in an afterschool archery club. Mrs. Teresa Wissenburg, Mrs. Shannon Ward, and Mr. Jim Wissenburg coach this afterschool club. Many of the students who participate in the afterschool club compete in various tournaments and even go to the state shoot!
Last school year we had the St. James Theatre Troupe: Several fifth and sixth graders gathered weekly under the expert guidance of Mrs. Myra Klenicki to hone their acting skills. At the end of the school year, the group performed a short, comical play titled “The Little House that Wasn’t” written by Mrs. Klenicki.
