Praised be Jesus Christ the King! My name is Sister Teresa Marie, and I (with Jesus) have the privilege of teaching at St. James School. God is so good to call me to such a wonderful work. I grew up in Columbus, Nebraska and attended Catholic schools K-12 before attending Benedictine College. Before completing my studies at Benedictine, I entered my community, The School Sisters of Christ the King, in 2009. I made my First Profession of vows in August of 2012. I then returned to Benedictine College and graduated with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Theology. This is my fifth year teaching 2nd grade and my second year teaching at St. James School. I had the privilege of student teaching in 3rd grade at St. James in 2015.
Second graders are a beautiful gift from God, and I am happy to journey with them this year. I look forward to helping the children to grow spiritually, socially and intellectually this year. This is an incredibly special year that I consider to be one of my greatest joys. As a spiritual mother, preparing children for the sacraments of Penance and Reconciliation and Holy Communion is a beautiful privilege.
In the Heart of the King and Queen, I am,
I am very grateful for the King’s invitation to labor with Him to build His Kingdom surrounded by constant witnesses of how to live and remain as a “little child.”
Sister Teresa Marie, CK
