Mrs. Donna Talkington

Ms. Donna Talkington is coming into her 6th year teaching at St. James School. She has a busy home life with one child, an electrician and three college children, and one high schooler. They may be busy but find time to enjoy together as a family.
Why do you enjoy teaching at St. James? – St. James embraces the spirit of Christ in all we do. We have a great supportive environment with people who truly care about our students, other teachers and staff, and our community. It is an amazing group to work with every day.
Who is your favorite Saint? – My favorite saint is Saint Joan of Arc. She was a strong female who came from humble background to lead others in honor. She inspires the value of believing in yourself and trusting in God’s path for you.
What are your favorite leisure activities? – I enjoy doing crafting activities with my family. Additionally, I love to play board and card games. I enjoy reading, my favorite book series being Princess Academy. I enjoy how this series takes young ladies who are undervalued and uneducated and provides a circumstance where they receive an education which really provides them the ability to improve their family’s lives. It is inspiring to show how a strong education forms better lives.
